The Lines in the Sand Are Being Drawn
After the attacks in Israel we have to ask ourselves: How close are we to World War 3? Many worldwide leaders are picking sides in the bloody conflict, which side will you be on?
In a world full of turmoil, nothing seems to be off the table when it comes to the future of the free world. The thought of a war to end all wars is no longer hyperbolic conjecture that should be ignored or dismissed as “fear porn.” World War 3 may very well be on the horizon and it will affect each and every one of us. No matter how much we like to believe that a war on American soil is not possible, it is not only possible, but after the events in Israel: probable.
When it comes to the lines being drawn on which nations will be fighting in a future war, we all have to pay close attention to which side each nation is on. When it comes to American foreign policy and the conflict in Israel, to use a modern trope, “Things are about to get real.”
In America, there is a culturally reinforced misconception that we are impenetrable or invincible due to the false view of our own military supremacy. We believe that our military will protect us no matter what type of war is raged on American soil, this is simply not true. The last time blood was spilled in a war on American soil was on December 7th, 1941; the event was named Pearl Harbor after the naval base that was built in Hawaii. Some would argue that we have had it way too good for way too long when it comes to military battles being waged on American soil.
While the conflict raging in Gaza is being carried out, some would call this a justified attack against Islamic terrorists while others are calling it genocide. In fact, media organizations like Democracy Now, have interviewed guests that are describing the carpet bombing and ground assault of Palestinians as “A textbook case of Genocide.”
The polarization between the two sides of this conflict are evident all throughout the world to the point that Israel supporters and Palestine supporters have fought in the streets of New York. The conflict is spilling over into different nations, and is creating a situation where lines are being drawn.
The animosity and hatred behind the current conflict is creating a situation where people cannot rationally discuss the emerging war without being hyperbolic or emotionally driven. Nobody in the western corporate media or in government positions are looking at the conflict objectively. Rational minds are calling for peace, while emotionally fueled rhetoric reveals that some of the most clean-cut individuals are the most blood-thirsty.
Sentiments of turning Gaza into a parking lot are despicably displayed on social media, while local discussions relay the same view. Even Neo-Con RINO Congressman Lindsey Graham has went on Fox News claiming that we are in a religious war and that Israel should, quote, “level the place.” Lyndsey Graham is literally calling for evangelist Christian Republican Jihad, or mocking muslim believers. Either way, he is asking for a holy war. This type of rhetoric will be harmful, more than it will be helpful.
After statements like these, stocks soared for Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Lyndsey Graham and his defense contractors want nothing more than a war with Iran to make money off of military weapons sales. The military industrial complex is salivating at the chance to literally make a killing in Israel and bring Iran into the Gaza conflict. Joe Biden recently announced in a press briefing that weapons shipments will begin immediately.
The Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has warned that the Gaza Strip will never be the same. He threatened Hamas saying, “They will regret this moment.” In his public statement he said, “I have released all the restrains, we have [regained] control of the area, and we are moving to a full offense.” He went on to low-key mock the Palestinian people claiming that, “Hamas wanted a change in Gaza, it will change 180 degrees from what it thought.”
Looking at the facts makes things impossible while propaganda on the internet swirls around the atrocities on both sides. Currently, Gaza has had the electricity, food, water, and fuel completely cut as the Israeli Defense Forces prepare for a full on ground assault with tanks, mortar fire, and infantry. Already the IDF has bombed civilians attempting to leave Gaza into Egypt, which isn’t being widely disputed.
What many propagandized subjects who call for blood don’t realize is that the Palestinians are not allowed to leave what is essentially an open-air prison. There has been a blockade of Gaza for the past 16 years, and even before the crisis it had low level standard of living when it comes to clean water and access to electricity. The latest news is that Colombia has expelled Israel’s ambassador over the conflict and the what the President of Colombia is calling a genocide.
According to the United Nations, what’s left of Palestine is a humanitarian crisis and now there are calls for the UN to come into the war-torn area to feed the people being bombed into oblivion. They have publicly declared that Israel’s siege on Gaza is prohibited under international humanitarian law.
This means that Israel’s response to the attacks, involving what is essentially non-stop bombing by the Israeli Air Force, is a war crime, but the siege crosses the line completely considering they are inhibiting food and water being available by stopping international aid to the region.
Already, UN trucks have been driving into the conflict through Lebanon where antagonists to Israel are laying down the Israeli flag to be run over as a way of political protest. The UN is saying that 11 staff members have been killed by the non-stop bombing by Israel since the initial attack by Hamas began. It has been over a week since the attacks and already Gaza has been left in ruins as video of dead babies are flooding social media.
In the East, both Vladimir Putin and President Xi have condemned the treatment of the Palestinians and have been calling for peace since the very beginning. Putin’s words were conveyed in viral tweets that, “Russia has always stood for the creation of an independent, sovereign, Palestinian state.” He said at a public event, referring to the Russian Federation, “We have always stood uphold the decision of the UNSC (the UN agreement).”
Putin’s speech at the Russian energy conference was broadcast all over social media along with his sentiments about the conflict, he said, “the implementation of United Nations resolutions and the establishment of a Palestinian state.” Putin also claimed at the speech that both sides of the conflict should “leave children and women alone.”
President Xi has been quoted in a speech saying, “No matter how international and regional situations change, China will always support the just cause of the Palestine People and will stand with them.” On October 9th in Manhattan, New York, there were Soviet and Chinese communist flags being displayed at Pro-Palestinian protest outside the United Nations. This was the very beginning of the protests.
In conclusion, all we can do is just stand and wait for the next move to be made. Lines are being drawn, and if you don’t have an emergency plan in place, now is the time to start considering the possibility of war on American soil. Stay safe, keep your family close, and prepare for what’s to come.
Great article Nick. Hopefully, we win. Obama is the man behind the curtain. We cannot allow joey to win. Trump 2024.
